Samsung Galaxy S10 Will Come With Its Own Cryptocurrency Wallet

If you’re someone who is dabbling in cryptocurrency and have a few stashed away, then maybe the Samsung Galaxy S10 could be the phone for you. This is because Samsung has confirmed that the recently-announced Samsung Galaxy S10 will feature its own cryptocurrency wallet called the Samsung Blockchain Keystore.

This is essentially a cold storage wallet that can be used to store a variety of cryptocurrencies which include Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cosmo Coin. In addition to the cryptocurrency wallet, Samsung has also announced that the handset will support select Decentralized Apps (DApps), with Cosmochain being one of the initially DApp partners.

This is not the first time that Samsung has tried its hand to cryptocurrency. They are also not the first company to launch a smartphone based around the tech as well. HTC has recently announced their their blockchain smartphone, the HTC Exodus, can now be bought using real-life money (previously you could only buy it using cryptocurrency).

It is unclear if support for cryptocurrencies will be a feature that we’ll start seeing on more devices in the future, but for now the Galaxy S10 will support it and could be worth checking out if you do dabble in it. There is no word on whether Samsung plans to eventually bring the feature to its older Galaxy handsets.
