Red Dead Redemption Remake Said To Be In Development

It has almost been ten years since Red Dead Redemption was released and if a new rumor is to be believed, Rockstar Games has some epic plans to celebrate the title’s tenth anniversary. Rumor has it that there’s a Red Dead Redemption remake in the pipeline and it could arrive by 2020. There has obviously been no confirmation about this from Rockstar Games so far.

This claim comes from a Reddit user who claims to know one of Rockstar Games’ environment artists but chose to remain anonymous. It’s said that a full remake for Red Dead Redemption is being developed and that it will have all of the new features that are present in Red Dead Redemption 2.

The story may be slightly changed in the remake to better connect the original title with the sequel. The anonymous Reddit user adds that this title is slated for a release in late 2020. It could even go beyond that and come out in early 2021. That may be because bugs have affected the development a bit. It’s claimed that 2/3 of the Red Dead Online team has been shifted to the remake in order to ensure that the project remains on track.

There’s no confirmation about a Red Dead Redemption remake from Rockstar Games right now so perhaps don’t take this rumor at face value just yet.
