Pixel 4 Owners Could Get Free 3-Month Google One Subscription

Google’s Pixel 4 is expected to be announced next week and now according to the folks at 9to5Google, it seems that Google is giving would-be Pixel 4 customers more incentives to purchase the handset. This comes in the form of a free 3-month subscription to the Google One cloud storage service.

This was spotted in an APK teardown in the Google One app, where in the latest update, 9to5Google discovered some strings within the app that referenced the free 3-month trial for Pixel 4 owners. This trial will be for the basic tier of Google One, where it will offer 100GB of storage.

For those who are unfamiliar, Google One is basically the paid version of Google Drive, where if you need more cloud storage space, you will need a Google One subscription. The base model that Google is offering Pixel 4 owners would have usually been priced at $1.99 a month or $19.99 a year.

This is not the first time that Google is offering upgraded or free services to Pixel phones, Previously, Google had also offered Pixel owners unlimited storage on Google Photos at full resolution, although it was for a limited time which is expected to come to an end in 2020.
