There are many ways to backup your phone and Google Drive is one of them. However, if you need more storage than what Google Drive has to offer by default, then you might want to check out Google One. This is because in an announcement by Google, it seems that Google One plans will now include automatic phone backups.
In the early part of 2018, Google announced a new cloud storage service called Google One. This is basically the paid version of Google Drive where users can pay a subscription to add on more storage to their cloud accounts if they want to. The initial roll out of the service was a bit limited at the start, but now it seems to have reached more users.
The internet search giant announced its Google One paid cloud storage service earlier this year. It meant to separate the free version of Google Drive from this paid offering, which is essentially what Google One is, a paid version of Drive with a few more options. Those who subscribe to the service now stand to save a good chunk of money on the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.

When it comes to cloud storage services, Google Drive probably comes to mind. It is a free storage service which comes with a set amount of storage for users, but there are options for users to upgrade their storage if they need that extra space. However to differentiate the paid storage and free storage, Google has since announced what they are calling Google One.
