Want To Make Your Tesla Faster? You Will Have To Pay $2,000 For That

Do you think your Tesla could be faster? If you do, you might be interested to learn that the company has announced a new software upgrade feature that will increase the speed of your Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor Long Range vehicle. This will be priced at $2,000 and is known as the Acceleration Boost program.

So how much faster can your Tesla go after this upgrade? According to the company, it should increase the speed of your car where it will go from 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds. Previously, the car would be able to achieve those speeds in 4.4 seconds, meaning that you’ll be spending $2,000 on what is essentially a 0.5 second difference.

Will it be worth the $2,000? We suppose that depends on your needs and preference, where if you absolutely need to speed off from 0-60 in a shorter amount of time, then maybe. Otherwise, we’re not sure if many drivers will be able to tell the difference of 0.5 seconds. That being said, it is an interesting shift in how we approach our vehicles, where in the future, we would assume more vehicles can get new features and upgrades through over-the-air software updates.
