Arlo’s New Wireless Security Cameras Will Last You Half A Year On A Single Charge

You might be considering setting up a home security camera system, but the thing with a lot of the more traditional setups is that it requires installation which involves dragging wires and finding a way to keep those wires hidden and kept away neatly. If you’d rather not deal with this, then Arlo’s new wireless cameras might be worth taking a look at.

The company has recently announced an update to its camera lineup which includes the Arlo Pro 4 Wire-Free Spotlight Camera and Ultra 2 Wire-Free Spotlight Camera System. As their names imply, these are wireless security cameras which means that installing them will be a breeze – just choose where you want to mount them and you’re good to go.

Arlo claims that the cameras will last for as long as six months on a single charge, so for the most part, you can put them up and not think about them for a very long time. They are also capable of connecting directly to your home’s WiFi, meaning that you won’t need to purchase a separate hub.

The Arlo Pro 4 will be capable of recording footage of up to 2K resolution, while the Ultra 2 will be capable of recording at 4K. The Pro 4 will offer a 160-degree field of view, while the Ultra 2 will offer a wider 180-degree field of view. The Pro 4 will be priced at $200 while the Ultra 2 will go for $300.
