Samsung Could Be Looking To Bring Its Exynos Chipsets To Computers

Samsung, just like Apple, makes their own mobile chipsets, which in turn are used to power their smartphones. Now it seems that Samsung could be following in Apple’s footsteps by launching a series of Exynos chipsets that could be used to power computers, similar to what Apple has done with the Apple Silicon.

This is according to a tweet by tipster The Galox on Twitter who claims that there will be Exynos chipsets coming to computers. It will be interesting to see what will happen if the rumors are true. Samsung’s Exynos chipsets have been criticized in the past for not being able to keep up with Qualcomm, so like we said, it will be interesting if these chipsets will be even more powerful.

That being said, the concept of ARM-powered computers aren’t new and in the past, we’ve seen companies use Qualcomm chipsets for computers. Even Microsoft has attempted something with a Qualcomm variant, although we wouldn’t exactly call those efforts resounding successes.

This is unlike Apple’s own efforts with the M1 chipset in which many have praised its performance. This is because Apple controls the hardware and software of its computers, meaning that everything is usually optimized for each other. However, we’ll have to wait and see what Samsung could have up their sleeves, and for all we know, it could be something truly impressive.
