Razer Launches Its Multi-Platform Barracuda X Gaming Headset

If you’re looking for a gaming headset that can work across devices and consoles, Razer has got you covered. The company has announced their brand new Barracuda X gaming headset that will play nicely with multiple devices like smartphones, tablets, computers, and of course, gaming consoles.

This is thanks to Razer including a small USB-C transmitter together with the headphones, meaning that it will work on devices like the Nintendo Switch by plugging it into the charging port and you’ll be able to connect the headphones to it wirelessly. It will also work with other consoles like the PS5’s front-facing USB-C port, and even phones or tablets that rely on USB-C for charging.

However, if you’re not necessarily a fan of wireless, Razer will also be bundling a USB-A to USB-C port so you can plug it into devices like your PC or even the Nintendo Switch’s dock. Other features include the use of the Razer TriForce 40mm drivers and a detachable cardioid microphone.

The Razer Barracuda X is priced at $100, which isn’t too bad of an asking price given how versatile it is, so head on over to Razer’s website if this sounds like a pair of headphones you might be interested in.
