Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G Could Be Cheaper Than We Thought

There is nothing wrong with foldable phones. As the tech is still relatively new, we expect that it might be a while before all the kinks are ironed out. The main issue here would be price, where some devices are priced close to the $2,000 mark, which is kind of crazy as far as smartphones are concerned.

However, if you are keen on getting in on the foldable action but don’t want to bankrupt yourself in the process, you might want to check out the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G. This is because according to a tweet by leakster @FrontTron, the price of the phone is rumored to cost $1,249 for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.

Now, by no means is $1,249 “cheap”, but it is $100 cheaper than its predecessor which should make it slightly more palatable. Foldable displays are still relatively new pieces of technology so it is expected that phones made using the tech will still be more expensive than regular smartphones.

However, when you consider regular smartphones like the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G, it does hover around that range so it’s not too outrageous of an asking price. Of course, this is still a rumor so we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to find out the actual pricing.
