If you own a LG G3 or LG G Flex on Sprint then you will receive an over-the-air update soon, though I would advise you against getting your hopes up if you’re waiting for Android 5.0 Lollipop. The incremental update that Sprint is pushing out for these handsets is going to bring international Wi-Fi calling. You will have to wait for some time if Android 5.0 Lollipop is the update […]
We are merely a month away from the Consumer Electronics Show 2015 which means that its high time we started hearing rumors about the products that are expected to make an appearance at the show. Rumor has it that LG is going to show off the successor to its flexible smartphone in Las Vegas. Word on the street is that the LG G Flex 2 is all set for an […]
There’s a new software update rolling out today for LG G Flex owners on T-Mobile. Magenta has rolled out this update today to bring this smartphone into its VoLTE fold. The new software update also adds one other feature to the device. This flexible device was unveiled by LG last year and T-Mobile was one of the carriers that offered in the country.
Back in 2013, LG unveiled the LG G Flex which was basically a smartphone with a rather pronounced curved display. It has been rumored that the company is planning on releasing a successor with a smaller display and this has supposedly been confirmed by tech website Ynet’s Dawn Lily who claimed to have seen the device herself.Lily was given a tour of LG’s offices in Korea and according to her, […]
AT&T has released a software update for LG’s flexible smartphone which was released last year. Before LG G Flex fans get all excited, let me point out that this update doesn’t bump up the core Android OS version from 4.4.2 to 4.4.2. The smartphone was updated to the former back in April and it has stayed at Android 4.4.2 since then. The latest software update has more to do with fixes, […]
The no.3 carrier today rolled out an update for its variant of the LG G Flex smartphone. It starts rolling out today in batches and may take up to a week for the roll out to complete. The software version is ZV7 and one of the biggest features that it brings to the G Flex is Wi-Fi calling. The feature will allow users to make voice calls even if Sprint’s network lets […]
Even though this is a rumor, it doesn’t seem entirely impossible. Both Korean giants already have experience producing smartphones with flexible displays. Last year LG released the G Flex and Samsung the Galaxy Round, though the latter was produced in a very limited quantity. One might wonder if both companies have plans to launch successors this year and if a rumor is to be believed, then they just might have something […]
Gradually OEMs are updating their devices to the latest Android software update, KitKat, which Google released late last year. The first devices to receive said update were Google’s own Nexus crop followed by Google Play Edition variants. Over the past few months KitKat has been rolled out for many devices and now T-Mobile has come through for its LG G Flex variant.
Sprint was one of the major U.S. carriers that decided to carry LG’s curvy smartphone, the G Flex. It was offered for $300 with a two year contract by Sprint. Those who picked one up have something to be happy about today. The Sprint LG G Flex Android 4.4 update has finally been released, bringing with it all the bells and whistles we have come to expect from the KitKat […]
While smartphones have definitely gotten a little bit more rugged than usual, such as the recently released Samsung Galaxy S5 that boasts of waterproof capability right out of the box, this does not mean that we can subject our new smartphones to abuse right away. No sir, as there is still proper decorum that should be in place, although it is nice to see smartphones arriving more robust than ever […]
We reported yesterday about the possibility of AT&T releasing the much awaited KitKat update today for LG G Flex owners. The carrier has just confirmed the roll out. AT&T LG G Flex Android 4.4 update has now been released over the air and it should soon pop up on users’ devices. The update brings all the bells and whistles we have come to expect from KitKat as well as LG’s […]
AT&T’s support website did mention in passing that the mobile carrier will be rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the LG G Flex from this coming Thursday onward – which is tomorrow, by the way. We have caught hold of the LG G Flex before at the end of last year, before getting a unit ourselves for a prim and proper review. The LG G Flex is different […]
LG’s “self-healing” flexible smartphone, the G Flex, came with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean pre-installed. Its been quite a long wait for owners of this smartphone, given that late last year Google released Android 4.4 KitKat and its taken a lot of time for the update to reach the G Flex. Today, finally, the LG G Flex Android 4.4 update has been released. While it doesn’t bring all of the features […]
We did share with you on how LG intends to introduce their special KnockOn feature to the L Series II range of smartphones later this month, and here we are with the South Korean consumer electronics giant announcing that the Knock Code feature will also be made available in earlier LG smartphone models through a firmware update beginning from this April. Basically, those who own the LG G2 and LG […]
