FCC filings for an unnamed Nokia smartphone show an interesting feature. Seems that Nokia has submitted a device that sports RFID support, which could possibly indicate the possibility of future mobile payments via your phone. The phone supports WCDMA on AT&T and T-Mobile’s 3G networks and includes Wi-Fi b/g/n, along with an FM transmitter. With rumors going around that Apple could be working on an iPhone that supports NFC (Near Field Communication), could we be looking at a future where we’ll be paying for everything by just tapping our mobile phones. Will this Nokia phone be a high-end smartphone, or a normal feature phone?
