The name Ben Heck is synonymous with modified consoles, but this time around the man himself has taken a different route in the form of a hand-cranked 5V torch that has been modified to provide juice to his HTC EVO 4G smartphone. Well enough, considering how power hungry the EVO 4G is – as is the case with a whole lot of other high-end smartphones that are in the market these days. Of course, you will need to input your fair share of strength to get it going, but at least you need not worry about not having enough power in your smartphone to handle important calls when there is no power outlet in sight.
