Moto-G4-frontMotorola has a new handset in the works, although right now there seems to be some kind of dispute regarding what it will be called. We have heard that it could be the new Moto X, but then last week we heard that it could be called the Moto G4 Plus, but regardless of what it’s called, the leaks shared one thing in common: a square fingerprint sensor on the front of the phone.

That being said, a recent post by Nowhereelse.fr (via PocketNow) has revealed additional photos of the alleged device which is being referred to as the Moto G4. As we have seen previously, this photo also seems to sport a front square fingerprint sensor. Now it is possible that this square fingerprint sensor could be the design choice for Motorola/Lenovo’s new lineup of Moto phones, but either way it does seem to corroborate previous leaks.

As for the design of the phone, there really isn’t much to write home about. From what we can tell, there are some slight changes. For example the Motorola logo which used to be more recessed now appears to be more flushed near the surface. This makes the phone look a bit plain but but we’re not sure if this could be the final design.

Overall the look isn’t particularly high-end but if this is a successor to the budget Moto G lineup, then we guess it would make sense. No word on when Motorola/Lenovo plans on launching their new phones, but hopefully these leaks are an indication that an announcement could be made soon.
