Ahead of its official announcement, the Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite, a new premium edition of Lenovo’s compact gaming tablet, has surfaced in real-world hands-on photographs shared on the Chinese social network Weibo. Reportedly captured in a retail store setting, the images provide a detailed look at the device’s redesigned aesthetic and key physical attributes.

Visually, the Y700 Infinite introduces notable departures from the standard model. The tablet is showcased in a dark blue finish featuring prominent Legion branding. On the rear, it houses a single 50-megapixel camera accompanied by an LED flash and an integrated RGB lighting ring surrounding the module. Despite its gaming-oriented focus, the chassis maintains a sleek form factor with a thickness of 6.5 mm and an overall weight of 298 grams.

The most significant visual and hardware upgrade is found on the front, where Lenovo has replaced the traditional LCD panel with an 8.4-inch OLED display. This screen delivers a Quad HD+ resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and an extreme touch sampling rate reaching up to 3,400 Hz. The front-facing 8-megapixel selfie camera is now positioned inside a discrete punch-hole cutout in the upper corner.

Another key feature highlighted by the leak is the inclusion of integrated 5G cellular connectivity, enabling low-latency mobile gaming and media streaming on the go without reliance on external Wi-Fi networks.

Under the hood, rumors indicate that the tablet is powered by an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, reportedly capable of exceeding 4.5 million points in AnTuTu benchmark tests. Thermal management is handled by a substantial 15,000 mm² vapor chamber. Additional specifications include configurations ranging from 12 GB to 24 GB of RAM, 256 GB to 1 TB of storage, dual USB-C ports, and a 7,470 mAh battery supporting 68 W fast charging.

Running Android 16 out of the box, the Lenovo Legion Y700 Infinite is officially scheduled to launch on Tuesday, August 25.
