milk vr appWant to experience virtual reality but don’t own a virtual reality headset? If you don’t, you’re in luck as Samsung has released their Milk VR app in the Google Play Store. The app will basically help to simulate some virtual reality experiences for users on their mobile devices even if they do not own a VR headset.

For example there will be 360-degree videos that users can pan and tilt around by moving their phone. Granted this isn’t as immersive compared to if you had a VR headset like the Oculus Rift or the Samsung Gear VR, and we’re not even sure if it could be considered as a close alternative, but if you don’t own a VR headset, we guess that’s what you’ll have to work with.

The app will feature content from a variety of media partners such as Mountain Dew, the NBA, 20th Century Fox, and Skybound Entertainment. Samsung is also boasting that there will be more than 700 titles to choose from, so safe to say that you will be able to find all sorts of VR-related content within the app itself.

The Milk VR app was actually launched as a technical preview back in 2014 but we guess the company has decided to release it for everyone, so hit up the Google Play Store if you’d like to get your hands on it.
