Now that Samsung’s virtual reality headset is available in the market there’s a need to provide content for it. Samsung knows that very well which is why its taking steps to ensure that Gear VR users have ample content to play around with. The company has launched a new app for this device called Milk VR which is going to bring 360-degree immersive video to the virtual reality headset.

The Gear VR headset was unveiled in September this year. Samsung collaborated with Oculus on this gadget and its different from the latter’s VR headset because it relies upon the Galaxy Note 4 to provide the display.

Samsung’s Milk VR app is available as a technical preview starting today. All of the videos being served through this application are available free. Some can only be streamed whereas some can also be downloaded on the device for viewing later. Samsung promises to add new content to this app regularly.

Most of the videos run between one to ten minutes so its not like users will be hooked for hours watch a full-length movie just yet. Samsung is still working to get developers and content partners on board to deliver much better experience on the Gear VR, but its certainly going to take a bit of time.
