Nissan had the Nissan Leaf electric car long before the Teslas and the Chevrolet Bolts of the world. The company is now gearing up to launch the next-generation Leaf EV. The official Twitter account of Nissan USA has posted a teaser image of the new car and has also mentioned that it will be formally unveiled on September 5th.

Nissan has been dropping hints about the new electric car over the summer and it will continue to do that in the days leading to the official launch on September 5th.

The tweet that the company has sent out features an image of what appears to be the new car’s grille as it’s proudly wearing the Nissan badge.

Nissan previously released a teaser image which offered a glimpse of the new car’s headlights. An interior image provided a look at the new car’s ProPilot Assist semi-autonomous driving system.

Not much has been revealed about the actual specifications of this new electric car. It’s unclear at this point in time how big of a battery it has and how much range it’s going to provide.

Nissan is going to confirm crucial information such as the pricing and availability on September 5th when it officially unveils the next-generation Leaf.
