Amid reports that iPhone 8 pre-orders are lower than the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6, Apple CEO Tim Cook says that the company has sold out of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in some stores. He mentions that the Series 3 Apple Watch with LTE has also been sold out “in so many places” across the globe. Overall, Tim Cook appears to be thrilled with the response from customers so far.

There have been concerns that the iPhone X might end up hurting iPhone 8 sales. Those who already own an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus might not purchase an iPhone 8. They might prefer waiting a month or so more for the iPhone X.

It would make sense to for most customers to do so since the iPhone X brings more to the table than the iPhone 8, and even though it’s priced higher, it just might end up getting a favorable response from the Apple faithful in my opinion.

Apple CEO Tim Cook told CNBC that Apple has sold out of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus in some stores, adding that they’ve got good supply. He also talked about the connectivity issue that the new Apple Watch has been facing.

“The issue is very minor, it will be fixed in a software update,” Cook said, explaining that “It has to do with the handoff between Wi-Fi and cellular, and we’ll fix that. It only happens in a rare number of cases.”
