Falcom unveils Mambo GPS phone

GPS functionality is slowly but surely creeping into cellphones everywhere, as evident by the Mambo tri-band GSM/GPRS handset which doubles up as a personal GPS tracker. This unique dual-function device comes with an integrated 20-channel SiRFStar III GPS receiver along with Bluetooth connectivity and a special alarm button to be used only in emergencies. When this alarm button is activated, it will define your current GPS position, send a text message containing your location information and perform a voice call to a pre-programmed number over the GSM network. Monitoring the Falcom Mambo can be done in real time over the Internet or regular updates via email. Pricing details are still unconfirmed.
