Axion has begun to ship its AXN-9701 widescreen LCD digital photo frame that displays pictures at a maximum resolution of 480 x 234 pixels (nothing much to shout about here), featuring a brightness control that provides an optimal viewing experience under any lighting condition. Of course, it would have been better if Axion included a dynamic brightness control, but that could be asking too much. The internal memory can store a mere 15 images (considering the resolution stated, that’s pretty measly), but you can always throw in a 2GB memory card for a few years’ worth of digital photos via its memory card slot. The AXN-9701 also supports USB flash drives via a direct USB connection.
