Just like a nuclear submarine, HP has released the G60 notebook silently and without any fanfare, despite it being the first 15.6″ display notebook from the company. Circuit City is currently carrying the G60-120US that will feature the following :-

  • AMD Turion 64 X2 RM-70 processor
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8200M graphics
  • 3GB DDR2 RAM
  • 250GB hard drive
  • DVD burner
  • 15.6″ widescreen display
  • Integrated webcam
  • HDMI and VGA outputs
  • 802.11n Wi-Fi connectivity
  • 5-in-1 memory card reader

So far, it looks like a pretty packed powerhouse, but you’ll need some pretty broad shoulders to carry this around as it weighs a wee bit over 6 pounds. Getting the right applications on it might be pretty challenging as well since it is powered by Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. The HP G60 retails for $629.99 after instant savings and mail-in rebate.
