Topcon GRS-1 Mobile Mapping Device
Topcon Positioning Systems has rolled out its latest mobile mapping device known as the GRS-1. This handheld modular mapping system boasts an unusually high degree of accuracy, courtesy of its high-performance internal processor that is aided by increased memory. Features of the GRS-1 include a built-in compass, an integrated digital camera and a cellular modem. You can use the optional GSM or CDMA modem to dial up a reference station for real-time correction data. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity has also been included into the GRS-1, where you can further augment its memory with SD cards. In addition, you can use the external antenna for increased accuracy for this Windows Mobile-powered device.
