Acer M5400 desktop runs on AMD Phenom II processor

Acer has a spanking new M5400 desktop machine that will take a slightly different route, ditching Intel in favor of AMD’s Phenom II X4 processor, where it will also carry a DirectX 11 compliant ATI Radeon GPU, an AMD 8-Series chipset, the ability to hold up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and host up to 4TB of storage space. Apart from that, you can expect this muscle-bound machine to sport a multi-memory card reader, a dozen USB ports (!), Blu-ray and HDMI options alongside ATI’s Eyefinity technology that lets you output the display to a handful of monitors. Nice to know that the hard drive located on the front can be swapped there and then, making it a snap to tote around in a jiffy. We await with bated breath on pricing and availability.
