The FCC has given its nod of approval to the Nokia X2, which is quite some time after it is made official across the Atlantic, pointing to the fact that it will most probably be available to non-CDMA carriers in North America in the near future due to the fact that this is a GSM/EDGE-only device. In this day and age, 3G connectivity is a given, making the Nokia X2 reside in the lower echelons of the food chain as an extremely basic handset that power users would do well to give it a pass. This bodes well for the handset anyways, since it was developed to target emerging markets anyway.
