BlackBerry 9800 Slider To Be Dubbed The Torch?

While RIM’s upcoming BlackBerry 9800 slider has been dubbed the Bold for a while now, the latest word going around is that the device would be renamed as the Torch, and there will be a new family of BlackBerry slider devices that bear the Torch label. It’s also worth noting that RIM had registered the Torch name back in April, so that does seem to lend some credibility to the possibility of the 9800 being dubbed the Torch. Regardless of whether it’s called the Torch or Bold, we’re looking forward to the official release of this device.
