DIY electric mountain bike is pretty swift

This mountain bike you see is no ordinary model, as Jennifer Holt decided to give it a jolt of power – to the tune of a 48V motor which is powered by a homemade battery pack that comprises of a dozen dozen 3.3V lithium ion cells (that’s 144 just in case you were experiencing a brain freeze). All data from the battery monitor is logged onto an SD memory card for future reference. The frame itself was designed from scratch so that it can hold the components of her choice, and since full suspension is of utmost importance to Jennifer, it provides better off-road capability and more power than what you would normally expect from any mountain bike. Capable of hitting top speed of around 30mph, you might want to be a little bit more careful with this if you’re a speed demon on asphalt.
