NEC Versapro Ultralite packs a mean punch for a UMPC
An ultra mobile PC, or rather known as a UMPC, might not seem to be suitable for use these days since it isn’t as powerful as a netbook, but rather seems to be hanging out in no man’s land. NEC’s trying to inject some pizzazz in the UMPC market with the NEC Versapro Ultralite, where it sports a 10″ display alongside an Intel Core i7 1.06GHz processor running under the hood. Measuring a mere 0.45mm in terms of thickness, it is not only small but light as well. You can choose between either a 62GB SSD or a 320GB hard drive, with the option to choose a lower hard drive space while settling for up to 5GB of memory instead. There is a 7-hour battery life to go along with this $2,800 plus hardware which is more or less 5 times more expensive than the most expensive netbook.
