Touchscreen Vending Machines Go Mainstream In Tokyo

The idea of touchscreen vending machines isn’t new, but the idea didn’t really take off until now. A local company called aCure has installed some new vending machines in Tokyo, Japan recently, and yes, they sport large touchscreen displays. From the looks of the setup, it seems that the new vending machine has been given a lot of focus, and passersby are crowding around it to check it out. Granted, aside from the touchscreen display, the concept of the vending machine hasn’t changed, but it does serve as a nice reminder as to where technology is taking us. That being said, all that technology still hasn’t found a way to help us avoid having to bend down to pick up our beverage.
