XShot, the company that makes a line of monopod camera extenders for point-and-shoot cameras has come up with the Pocket XShot, a retractable extension that measures 6.5 inches when folded and extends to 30.5 inches when needed, allowing users to take self-portraits of group shots without having to stand behind the camera. The device also features a tripod socket at the base, allowing it to be used as a height extension for regular tripods and works with any compact digital camera and also the iPhone when used with the accompanying XShot case. The Pocket XShot will set you back $30 and is already available for order.
