Amazon to offer Prime members unlimited video streaming?

Rumors of a Netflix competitor from Amazon have been going around for a while and now someone has noticed an unlimited video streaming section to compliment the current Amazon VOD options. Such a move would be a useful benefit for the $79/year package that offers a few free shipping bonuses and it would be cheaper annually than Netflix’s Watch Instantly service that is priced around $95. The service should offer commercial-free instant streaming of 5,000 movies and TV shows at 480p SD resolution.

The tipster later mentioned that the option for instant streaming disappeared from his account, so perhaps it was an accidental leak by Amazon. Folks have also noticed that variants of the primeinstantvideos.com domain name were registered by the Amazon-owned DPRview site.
