T-Mobile UK policy change caps ‘fair use’ at 500MB

This is probably not one of the best public relations moves we’ve seen recently. We can understand that companies have to announce bad news from time to time, but they tend to sprinkle it with daisies and such. T-Mobile UK has released a statement saying that changes are coming to its data plans. While you might previously have been enjoying 3GB worth of data before this, from February 1st, the carrier is deeming that “fair use” will be 500MB a month, which is enough to browse the web and send emails. The final line from the statement kind of sums it all up, stating: “If you want to download, stream and watch video clips, save that stuff for your home broadband.”
