YouTube and LG announce 3D mobile uploads

3

[MWC 2011] YouTube tested 3D support a while back, and now the company has announced, together with LG, that it will start accepting mobile uploads in 3D, allowing folks to easily share 3D videos. Of course, considering that LG is involved, the Optimus 3D will be the first to have the option, thanks to its glasses-free display, allowing it to support much of the 3D content that it records. Specific details weren’t mentioned, but since stereoscopic 3D is involved, it should mean that any device with stereoscopic 3D, such as some computer monitors and 3D TVs should support it too. This is a great move for the expansion of 3D since it would allow amateur 3D video to be easily spread and distributed around the globe.
