CES 2011 was where Asus announced their Eee Pad Transformer with an April release date in sight, and we are well pleased to hear that said device is ahead of schedule and will see an official release in Taiwan this coming Friday. Pre-orders will begin from 8am onwards this Friday, where this 10.1″ Android 3.0-powered tablet will be accompanied by a Tegra 2 processor, 1GB RAM and a choice between 16GB or 32GB of internal storage space. It would be interesting to see how the Honeycomb customization works whenever you’re making use of the keyboard. Asus has mentioned that the Eee Pad Transformer (which has already hit the FCC) will retail from $400 to $700, depending on whether you decide to bring it home with the dock or not.
