Of course, if you are an early adopter and decided to pick up the Google Nexus S, that is most probably because you would love to have the latest and the greatest firmware updates all the time to your favorite smartphone platform. Needless to say, Google Nexus S owners can now smile after being given the go ahead for the Android 2.3.4 update that is due to arrive over the coming weeks as an over-the-air update.

Not only that, Google will also make it available as a manual download just in case you have not gotten the update pushed over to your smartphone. We did talk about the Android 2.3.4 update earlier in the week, where it is said to introduce native video calling – making your smartphone even, well, smarter now.

The process to install the update is quite simple, and can be completed in just a few steps. It will play nice with those who are running on Android 2.3.3 at the moment, and the 2.3.4 update for original Nexus owners is also tipped to arrive in the near future, but there is no official announcement just yet.
