Barnes & Noble Nook has Bluetooth connectivity that went untested

It seems as though the folks over at Barnes & Noble are a crafty lot (in a good way, of course), where their latest touchscreen-capable Nook touch e-book reader carries more than just e-paper weight. The folks over at the XDA Developers forum tout that the Touch will actually sport a Bluetooth chip that has been embedded into the hardware, but whether Bluetooth connectivity will be activated or not, that is another story for a different day.

The person who brought this matter to attention has yet to pair the Nook touch with a Bluetooth device, but he did manage to run ADW Launcher on the new model. Jsut what is ADW Launcher? Well, this is an open source home app that will cater for devices which are powered by Google’s Android operating system.

So how will this little “revelation” change your life? Hopefully someone will come up with a way to utilize the Bluetooth connection, or it could just be there to be activated later on by a firmware update. Who knows?
