T-Mobile blocks Google Talk Video Chat?

Google rolled out the audio/video chat functionality into their Talk application on the Android platform not too long ago under the version 1.3 guise, but it was available only on Gingerbread 2.3.4. This update delivered the similar voice and video chat capabilities to the Nexus S which you are able to access over in the desktop version of Google Talk. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities, as one might just use that instead of standard cellular voice plans, after all, with video chat you even get to see one’s facial expressions. T-Mobile might have been quaking in their boots at that idea, which could be why they have blocked smartphones from using Google Talk Video Chat over cellular data plans.

Tablet owners are still exempt at the moment from this blockade, so you can still take advantage of audio/video chat over 3G/4G. What do you think is T-Mobile’s intention behind this block, is it intentional or something which they might fix down the road?
