tt-i EagleEye records your achievements in HD

tt-i EagleEyeEverybody loves achievements. But what’s the point of accomplishing something if you’ve got nobody to share it with? That’s why we have trophies in video games and replay cameras – everybody loves to share their accomplishments. But in real life it’s a bit different – you don’t have anyone but yourself to keep track of your progress in everything you do. And nothing is recorded for you unless you have somebody with a video cam standing on the sidelines.

Well, tt-i has decided that achievements are important things in real life and has just launched the new “Buddy” EagleEye. This high definition video camera is lightweight and comes with a mounting bracket so that it can be easily mounted to a helmet or headband. The next time you’re out doing kick flips over cliffs and cycling down a rocky mountain pit – you can be sure that you’ve got footage of yourself doing it.

The EagleEye records video in 180p HD with H.264 compression, and stores it on an SD card for easy playback via a computer or HDTV. It has a battery life of 2.5 hours which should be enough for most purposes, and has a rain-proof LCD display that lets you preview your video clips while out in the field. It is built with a streamline design, which makes it ideal for skiers, skaters, racing drivers, bikers, and basically anybody who wants to record themselves doing something (nobody’s going to stop you from recording yourself scoring maximum points in Guitar Hero). The tt-i EagleEye is available now for $269.
