LG Enlighten surfaces again

LG EnlightenThe LG Enlighten, an entry-level Android phone from LG, was slated for an August 25th release but that has yet to happen. For those of you who were looking forward to the phone – fret not, it hasn’t been cancelled; it’s just been delayed. The folks over at Android Central recently got a screenshot from a tipster showing the phone on an upcoming Verizon catalog.

There’s no fixed release date this time around, but a vague “Coming Soon” instead. In case you forgot about the LG Enlighten, it features slide-out QWERTY keyboard, a 3.2″ touchscreen (320 x 480 display), an 800 MHz processor, a 3.2-megapixel camera, 150MB of internal memory, a microSD card slot, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Sure, it’s no DROID Bionic, but for folks who don’t need the 4G LTE, a dual-core processor or high-res camera, and want the physical keyboard – you can’t really go wrong with this phone. No prices have been announced, but it should be in the lower bracket or free (with a 2-year contract). We’ll keep you posted.
