Samsung Galaxy Note impresses in Quadrant benchmark tests

The Samsung Galaxy Note which has certainly set the world alight with its announcement last week (not to mention have its pricing details released) does not only look good, it is said to perform even better. This device that flirts with the thin line between a smartphone and a tablet, carries a dual-core 1.4GHz Samsung-branded processor that certainly blew away some standard figures in the Quadrant standard benchmark.

According to the good people over at Techblog.gr, where they decided to make the most of the Galaxy Note’s appearance at IFA 2011 in Berlin, where it managed to snag an impressive 3,624 score in the application, placing it alongside the Samsung Galaxy S II, while clearly showing off its processing muscle to the rest of the chasing pack of Android smartphones in terms of performance.

While the Galaxy Note was not thought of to arrive Stateside initially, folks in the UK will be all smiles since they expect to see this device arrive sometime in the first quarter of next year. It does not seem to be highly affordable though, but will definitely be competitive enough to face off with the other tablets (albeit those will sport far more generous display sizes). To Note or not to Note, that is the question.
