I am quite sure that no matter how young you are, if you happen to read plenty of tech and gaming blogs, you would surely have come across the name of “Amiga”. Yes, if you happen to smile at such a mention, I know for sure those early memories you had of computers and games in your room – guess it is time to roll back the years with word that the AmigaOne X1000 will begin to ship by year’s end.

Just what does the AmigaOne X1000 deliver? For starters, it will rely on the rather rare P.A. Semi PowerPC processor, which makes it the only computer that ships with an Apple processor that does not run on iOS or is a Mac. Other hardware specifications include an ATI Radeon R700 graphics card, 2GB RAM, a 500GB hard drive, a 22x DVD combo drive, a customized case, keyboard and mouse, and 7.1 channel HD audio amongst others.

This is meant to be the best and fastest Amiga computer possible, so do expect to fork out a rather handsome sun for it – we’re talking about £1,699 upwards. Just how much love do you have for the brand name to part with such an amount of cash?
