PlayStation Card – time to stimulate the economy

Want to do your bit for Uncle Sam and make sure enough money flows around the market? I guess the only way would be to spend, spend and spend, but in these times of belt tightening and austerity measures, you might want to be more careful with where your hard earned dollars end up. Well, Sony has been working with Capital One to create a credit card which will have rewards that target PlayStation fans. Needless to say, this new credit card is aptly known as the PlayStation Card, where all your purchases will earn points – including 10X the number of points for each purchase that you make on the PlayStation Network.

To explain further, 10X points will also be credited to your account for each of your game-related PSN purchases in addition to PSN movie or TV episode purchases and rentals. All the accumulated points can be used to redeem PlayStation games, accessories, and PlayStation Network content, with the option to take advantage of Sony’s large library of consumer electronics devices, of course. Triple points are awarded on all PlayStation and Sony purchases at Sony stores and Sony.com, quick service restaurants, movie theaters, and on your phone bill.

Not only that, to sweeten the deal, you will receive a $50 PlayStation Network code after your first purchase using the PlayStation Card, now how about that?
