HTC EVO 3D runs Windows 95/98/XP and Linux

Mobile phones used to be just that – simple machines that allowed you to make a call without being tethered by a cable, and soon enough came text messaging which allowed you to “talk” to someone else without having to verbally say a word. Well, mobile phones have long since evolved to smartphones, and these days such smartphones have plenty of processing power underneath the hood to be far faster than desktop computers from 10 years ago. The HTC EVO 3D is not exactly a winner where 3D phones are concerned, but here is an interesting project which you can embark on it with – by booting up the EVO 3D with Windows 95/98/XP or Linux.

Yes sir, XDA Senior Member mnomaanw came up with a way to run Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows XP and Linux on the HTC EVO 3D itself without requiring you to jump through plenty of hoops. In fact, all you need to do is download the software required, make some minor changes to a few files inside the system and run the apk – you’re good to go after that. Anyone given it a go already, and did you find a renewed love for your HTC EVO 3D?
