While Blu-ray discs are starting to catch on in the past few years, there is nothing quite like a DVD still when it comes to watching recently released movies right in the comfort of your home. DVDs are cheap, and have decent enough image quality, as it does not show off all the wrinkles of your favorite actors to show just how much they have aged over the years while you grew up. Sceptre intends to offer an all-in-one solution with their latest “24” LED Series HDTV which will come with an ultra thin DVD player alongside a trio of HDMI ports.

The 23″ viewable widescreen display is capable of offering Full HD resolution with a true widescreen 16:9 ratio, making it suitable to hook up your PS3 or Blu-ray player into any of the three HDMI ports so that you can enjoy Full HD goodness right smack at home. The built-in DVD player also makes it easier to place anywhere at home, and that also means having less cables running through the house, not to mention freeing up an additional power outlet. Measuring under 2″ thin and tipping the scales at under 9 lbs, other features include Energy Star V5.3 certification, compatibility with all major signals (ATSC/NTSC and Clear QAM included), and multiple automatic audio and video enhancements. No word on pricing just yet.
