A5X shows up on iPad 3 logic board?

No idea on how legit a particular forum post over at Chinese site WeiPhone is, but it seems that the photo posted over there is rather proud to be known as the A5X system-on-a-chip. Do you think it is a Photoshop job that has done its work in fooling many, or could it be the real deal, making its way into the innards of each and every single iPad 3 that will be shipped in the near future? We do know that the iPad 3 will most probably be unveiled to the rest of the world sometime in the first week of March, not to mention this hotly anticipated tablet device to feature a high resolution display that many claim will be a tablet-sized Retina Display.

There is also a date code attached to the A5X, pointing it out as the “1146”, which means that it was manufactured in the 46th week of 2011. I guess this incremental upgrade would also make sense when you think about it – after all, didn’t the iPhone make the jump from the iPhone 4 to the 4S? So why not the A5 processor being given a kick in the butt to the A5X?
