Project Paperclip photo exhibition uses Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality (AR) technology is still fairly new in the industry, but with human creativity being boundless, you know it is only a matter of time before it makes the jump to mainstream consciousness. Here we are with the Project Paperclip photo exhibition by Nuno Serrão, where it is the first of its kind to use Augmented Reality. The Portuguese native decided to throw in the auditory canal, in an attempt to transport visitors to a state which offers them a totally different interpretation of his photographs. Having said that, this means that individual experiences differ from one another, since the app’s algorithm will rely on real-time processing of variables from the visitors location, including the current time and amount of noise in the room. Trippin’ – the art masters of yesteryears might also wish they had such technology at their disposal. Imagine looking up at the Sistine Chapel with the presence of AR. I am quite sure that this will not be the last time where artistic interpretation in the world of art will see the visitation of AR.
