Facebook user profile photos get larger

Facebook covertly improved the user profile photo segment by allowing it to be larger on Timeline, and some folks look at this move as a knee-jerk response by Facebook as Google updated their own social network, Google+, to sport larger photos in one’s profile just a few days earlier. Prior to Facebook’s silent update, a photo measured 130 x 125 pixels, and will overlay the user’s Timeline Cover image. This image is actually a Mini Me of one’s s profile image, and will be displayed in all its glory upon clicking it. Well, the improvement will see the pixel count rise to 166 x 160. How will such a subtle change actually turn your overall user experience into one that is more friendly, or easier on the eyes. I guess such “quiet” changes often weave their magic into our consciousness without us realizing it, and that alone is not necessarily a bad thing. Will the larger photo allowance in your user profile cause you to change your pic?
