Ferrari CEO rendezvous with Tim Cook and a few Google executives

The prancing horse that is Ferrari conquered Silicon Valley this week. Luca di Montezemolo, CEO of Ferrari, gave a speech at Stanford University to over 600 students after which he met up with Apple CEO Tim Cook and a few Google executives shortly after. ”I was impressed by his (referring to Tim Cook) availability and openness,” Montezemolo said leaving the headquarters after a 2-hour face-to-face meeting.

“We’re building cars, they build computers. But Apple and Ferrari are connected by the same passion, the same love for the product, maniacal attention to technology, but also to design.” Albeit the report via Ferrari.com didn’t provide any information about what Montezemolo and Cook talked about, it just thrills our mind to imagine a self-driving Ferrari sometime in the future.

Apparently Time Cook wanted to see the Ferrari FF from close-up view as well. Montezemolo drove the gorgeous prancing horse to Cupertino and Cook was really excited to hear the car’s 12-cylinder engine sound and the luxurious 4-door 4×4 interior. “Passion and attention for the smallest details are what makes our cars, those who create them and those who drive them so special, living continuous excitement.” Those were the concluding words of the Ferrari CEO at Stanford.
