The survey essentially asked customers if they would prefer a thinner device over those that compromised on the thin form factor in favor of a larger battery. Interestingly, according to HTC’s vice president of product strategy Bjorn Kilburn, the majority of customers chose that they’d prefer a thinner device to the point where 3,000mAh plus batteries were apparently removed from HTC’s roadmap.
A perfect example for comparison would be Motorola with its Droid RAZR and Droid RAZR MAXX, whereby both devices are similar in specs with the exception of the RAZR MAXX packing a whopping 3,300mAh battery which resulted in a thicker design. Considering that both devices feature LTE connectivity, we’re sure that many users will no doubt appreciate the larger battery which will provide the phone with a longer lasting battery life. However ultimately it depends on the user and their needs and the whole debate of form vs functionality. But what do you guys think? Would you prefer a a slim form factor or a larger battery?
