Samsung has its TouchWiz Suite UI that we saw with the Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC has its Sense 4.0 UI that we saw with the HTC One series of smartphones and most recently, LG also announced its new UI overlay called Optimus UI 3.0. Now apparently, Chinese company Huawei is looking to get into the game as well with a UI the company is calling ‘Emotion UI’. Apparently, Huawei is looking to debut its overlay in July when it will begin shipping its phones with the software preloaded.
In the same report, there are speculations that this Emotion UI is the reason for the delay of the Huawei Ascend D Quad which was supposed to ship in its quad-core goodness and a pure Android experience without any UI overlay. With that said however, it isn’t known whether or not the UI will make its way out of its home country. We first got to have a look at the Ascend D Quad at Mobile World Congress earlier this year in Barcelona. With regards to the July launch date, Huawei is reported to be having an event on the 9th where it will provide more information and details about its Emotion UI. Until then, we will keep you updated on any developments in this area.
