Photographers, if you’re using any of Sony’s NEX or Samsung’s NX series of cameras, Samyang Optics has outed a new fisheye lens that might be of interest to you. According to the company, the Samyang 8mm 1:2.8 UMC fisheye lens is currently the smallest and brightest lens that is compatible with cameras from the NEX and NX series of cameras featuring APS-C sensors. Featuring a system that utilizes 10 lenses that have been arranged in 8 groups, this particular lens also includes one aspherical lens and two lenses that have been made from extra low dispersion glass, and with an aperture of f/2.8 this fisheye lens should prove to be decent under low-light conditions. It will come with Sony’s E (NEX) mount or the Samsung NX mount, but unfortunately availability and pricing remain unknown at this point in time.
